FAIR HOUSING LAW SEMINAR



Our next event will be a seminar focusing on how the Civil Rights Act of 1866, the Fair Housing Act of 1968 and the Americans with Disabilities Act effect your leasing, advertising, maintenance and property management activities today

The penalties for violating these laws are very severe.  Even if you are certain you would never discriminate against anyone, what you don't know could cause a problem.  Even if a resident feels like you are discriminating against them, it could cause you a major problem. 

Kitty and Joy recently attended a Fair Housing seminar hosted by the Apartmeent Association of Kansas City. We learned these laws can easily be broken if one is not informed.  We will announce the date of this seminar as soon as we can line up the experts.

Can you show a rental unit to a prospective resident before it is rehabbed and comply with the Fair Housing laws? Maybe not!!

Can you negotiate the amount of rent with a prospective resident and comply with the Fair Housing laws?  Maybe not!!
